How SPURR and ForeFront Power make it easier for public agencies in California to save with solar

June 7, 2018

School Project for Utility Rate Reduction (SPURR) is a joint powers authority dedicated to helping California schools and colleges control and reduce utility expenses.

ForeFront Power is the proud winner of SPURR’s Renewable Energy Aggregated Procurement (REAP) Program competitive RFP that allows schools, colleges, and public agencies in California to save time and money on their procurement and energy costs. The REAP Program provides pre-negotiated contracts, industry leading pricing, and standardized terms.

Public entities can “piggy-back” off SPURR’s RFP to procure solar and energy storage while saving time and resources. All REAP RFP
documents are publicly available. Since 2015, the SPURR REAP program has helped school districts procure more than 40 megawatts (MW) of clean solar power covering more than 60 sites.
